Distributors meet innovative e-mobility
Wallboxes are the interface between car and the power grid. However, a safe power supply is required in the background. E-mobility and the associated requirement for charging points will increase continuously in the coming years. Where an expensive retrofitting of the existing plant for a wall box threatens, the innovative AK E-Mobility distributor of Spelsberg offers a fast and safe solution for the extension of the existing electrical installation. Low-voltage switchgear systems based on the GTi modular insulated switchgear system offer a simple solution for connecting more than two charging points with the well thought-out mounting system.

AK E-Mobility distributor
The wallbox does not only have to be compatible with the car, it also has to be connected to the building installation. The fact that the electricity must be supplied permanently in a safe manner is a requirement. However, VDE 0100-722 additionally requires that each wallbox for an e-car must be supplied by integrated end current circuit and has to be protected by an integrated residual current circuit breaker as well as with a separate miniature circuit breaker.
Where an expensive retrofitting of the existing plant threatens, the innovative AK E-Mobility distributor of Spelsberg offers a fast and safe solution for the extension of the existing electrical installation.
The already equipped, pre-wired and tested distributor is equipped with miniature circuit breakers and residual current circuit breakers. This smart solution avoids long switch-off times and a redesign of the main current distribution. The distributors are designed for wall boxes with a connected load of 11 kW, as these only need to be registered with the network operator in accordance with the valid Technical Connection Conditions (TAB) and the TAR Low Voltage Application Rule (VDE-AR-N 4100). For more than 12 kW connected load, however, the assessment and approval by the network operator is required first. All AK distribution boards undergo a type test according to DIN EN 61439-3 - for a consistently safe feeling.

GTI switchgears ready for connection for your e-mobility
In the background of wallboxes a solid power supply is needed. Spelsberg’s modular GTi low voltage switchgear system enables a fast and easy extension of the current unit. New modules or smaller extensions can be pre-fabricated and integrated with short switch-off times. The UV and weather-resistant plastic enclosures are also suitable for applications where external influences represent high demands on dust and moisture protection. Moreover, they offer a corrosion-free and thus durable alternative to sheet steel distributions.
Ready-to-connect GTi modules for electric mobility
The GTi system from Spelsberg includes a variety of empty enclosures for switchgear which can be combined like a construction kit. On this basis Spelsberg conceived some modules particularly for the establishment of a loading infrastructure. They are supplied ready for connection and already contain all necessary components. The individual modules are type-tested according to EN 61439-2 and thus offer the user maximum safety. On request, we are happy to extend the ready-to-connect modules with customer-specific housings. Please contact us! The following modules can be ordered ready for connection:
Power supply module
- with lockable main switch
- a universal measuring device displays information on the capacity utilisation of the plant
- if desired, the measured data can also be read out remotely - a network connection is required for this
Outlet module with / without counter
- each charging point is individually fused
- compact structure
- Counting of the individual retirements enables an individual allocation
- this module can also be networked on request
Serial components for electrical mobility
The GTi system from Spelsberg includes a multitude of empty enclosures for switchgears, which can be combined as necessitated by the relevant task. Spelsberg has developed modules on the basis of this system that are specially designed for the establishment of charging infrastructure. They are supplied turnkey and already include all necessary components.
The individual modules have been type-tested in accordance with EN 61439-2 and offer the user maximum safety. The insulating material enclosure is designed in the familiar Spelsberg industrial quality and is thus ideally suited for harsh conditions. With protection class IP65 / IK 08 / Protection Rating II, it is also suitable for use outdoors. The following modules can be ordered turnkey:
Feed module
- with lockable main switch
- a universal measuring device displays information about the load of the system
- on request, the measurement data can also be read remotely – a network connection is required for this purpose
outlet module with meter
- each charging point is safeguarded individually
- payments of individual outlets enables individual billing
- this module can also be networked on request
outlet module without meter
- compact design
- individual safeguarding for each charging point
